Policies

I like to keep it simple and fun...but here's a few rules my studio lives by....

• Payment: Tuition is typically due at the beginning of the month. There may be a late fee after 15 days past due. Lessons may be discontinued if tuition is not paid within the month due. You can venmo me @sarah-diamond-17. 
• Absolutely No Refunds! I will do everything I can to make sure you get all the lessons you have paid for, but I will never refund any lessons. That may include any makeup lessons *(please see makeup lesson policy)
• Lessons per month: Your monthly tuition includes 3 lessons. This gives us a flex week for holidays and cancellations. You may "luck out" and get 4 (or even 5!) because I don't take many weeks off, so plan to come every week unless there's a reason, but I only guarantee 3.
• Makeup lessons: As a general rule, I don't do makeup lessons. Because my schedule is so full, makeup lessons are very difficult to do. This is why I only charge for 3 lessons a month, so we both have a flex week. There may be exceptions and that will be at my discretion. Any Teacher cancelations will be made up as soon as possible, but also might have to wait until summer to be completed.
• Cancellations: Please give me as much advance notice as possible if you are going to be absent. 
• Sickness: Please cancel if your student is coughing, fevering, or contagious. I may send them home if I feel they are too sick or contagious without a refund or makeup lesson.
• Nails: must be short for lessons, I may ask the student to clip their own nails before playing if they are too long. I will never clip the students nails for them, they have to do it themselves.
• Practice Requirements: It should go without saying....but your student must practice. Beginners should get at least an hour per week....2-3hrs. for intermediate/advanced. If your student is not keeping with a regular and reasonable practice routine, I reserve the right to discontinue teaching them. I have many ideas to keep them going...just ask!
